Both Hiragino Mincho Pro and Hiragino Gothic Pro display as bold when 'font-weight:500' is specified in a stylesheet. The 'normal' font-weight should be used instead (use W3 instead of W6).

Yeah, weight decisions are made within platform-specific code, so the bugs are independent of each other.  Inconsistencies are definitely bugs, assuming the same fonts and no font fallback.
