http://people.mozilla.com/~vladimir/misc/branch-moz2.svg Scaling this svg graphic using Firefox 3 (nightly on 10.5) full page zoom is painfully slow. Filters?
It gets progressively worse as the zoom factor goes up. For me the first zoom factor takes about one second and the forth zoom factor takes about 5 or 6 seconds. Filter size going up is apparently to blame (according to vlad and shaver's suggestions on IRC)
It is filters, Gaussian Blur is probably the main problem in this case. You have a gaussian blur on alpha only which could be done faster and when you zoom we calculate even the bits of the filters that are now off-screen.
Depends on: 416305, 418201
I think vlad's removed the filters so I can't check whether roc's latest updates would have fixed it.
