User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008030504 Minefield/3.0b5pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008030504 Minefield/3.0b5pre Firefox 3 never shows the image for NewEgg.com promotion emails, whether opened in Gmail or whether viewed on the newegg.com site. These are plain JPG images so I don't think it's the same problem as I reported in bug 416243, where images are not shown if there is transparency in the image. I will attach a screenshot so you can see what it looks like in a recent FF3 build. I will also attach the full webpage, saved and zipped up. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Unzip the attachment and open the html page in FF3.

Attached file The webpage, zipped
I had to remove a few of the really large images from the zipfile to get it under the 300kb limit for bugzilla attachments, but most of them are there. The original page is here: http://promotions.newegg.com/NEemail/Mar-0-2008/Promo031308in/index-landing.html?nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL031308&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL031308-_-email-_-top-_-Moredeals However I don't know how long that page will be around for, as it is a weekly email.
URL in comment 2 works for me, Firefox trunk 2008030904 on Linux. Luke, does it work in Firefox Safe Mode? (it temporarily disables add-ons and themes, this test will help us narrow down the cause of the problem) -- See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode
I updated to the latest nightly build and the images show fine in Safe Mode... but now they show fine when not in Safe Mode too! Actually I found the problem by saving a working version of the webpage and diffing it with the non-working version. The broken version has an additonal style="display: none;" in the <img> tag. I have no idea how that got there, but this has been a problem for a few months now, not just on newegg.com but other sites too. (Maybe AdBlock Plus was being overzealous? Is setting display: none the way that AdBlock blocks stuff?)
> Is setting display: none the way that AdBlock blocks stuff? I think so. FYI, there was a new version recently: http://adblockplus.org/releases/adblock-plus-0754-released -> INVALID
