xhtml.com and xstandard.com are served with application/xhtml+xml MIME type to Firefox. Periodically while browsing these sites, an "XML Parsing Error: no element found" screen would flash for about a second and then the page would load normally. I managed to take a screen shot while the parsing error was flashing. Here is the screen shot:
http://misc.xstandard.com/mozilla/parsing.gif

I don't think this is related to specific markup because the markup is different at each line number/column number for each error.

This may be related to connection speed. The above error was produced from a slow DSL connection. It's probably easier to reproduce this on dial-up.

Maybe Firefox may be trying to parse the page before all of the page is loaded and when it fails, it tried again which by that time the rest of the page is downloaded?

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Using a slow Internet connection, go to xstandard.com or xhtml.com and click around.

Actual Results:
Periodically, an XML parsing error screen will flash for about a second then the page will load normally.

Expected Results:
No XML parsing error, page loads normally.
This looks like a duplicate of bug 368909. Bug 368909 was duped to another bug about SVG, but it looks like it should be reopened.
