The crash reporter is ready on Solaris as the patches for bug 391361 and Bug 423674 were checked in. I've built a Socorro server and tried with Firefox locally. It works fine.

Would like to request for the account to upload Firefox symbols for Solaris to the community crash reporting server: http://crash-stats.mozilla.com. The Solaris contributed builds will then enable this feature so users can send the reporter when crash happens.
Ted: do these go directly to crash-stats or is this something that would go to the new symbolpush server?
Ted mentioned that the account should be for the VM dm-symbolpush01.
Right. We may want to create a new dir alongside symbols_ffx for them to upload to, just to compartmentalize. We could give the account write access to symbols_ffx, but that makes me a bit nervous. If we create a new dir, Aravind will have to add it to the processor config.

Don't they have to live in the symbols_ffx directory for the processor and the reporter to work?

We could probably grant Alfred access to the box using his LDAP credentials.

Aravind: they can live anywhere as long as that dir is in the processor config. I just wasn't sure of our level of comfort with giving someone else write access to the symbols_ffx dir, seeing as how we've segregated all the other symbol dirs.
Alfred: You should now be able to login to dm-symbolpush01 and upload stuff to /mnt/netapp/breakpad/symbols_solaris/. Let me know if that doesn't work. Your login name is apeng. It uses your LDAP key for authentication.

Ted: I will add that directory to the processor path.
