1. Go to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-trunk/
2. Click on thunderbird-3.0a1pre.en-US.win32.installer.exe

WORKSFORME. Would you mind (1) trying the same on a clean profile and (2) posting a screenshot if it still happens (see the "Add an attachment" link above)?

This bug happens to me - but only when:
1) I have the add in DownThemAll! enabled (v.1.0, up to date)
AND 2) The file for download would not normally offer me an 'Open with' option in the download manager. Then, the window ignores the extra space needed for the DownThemAll options.

The window does take account of the DownThemAll options and is correctly sized when there is an 'Open with' option.
