With the extention installed "DownloadThemAll" the download dialogue box is no longer resized appropriately. You can not resize it manually.

This is a bug with the add-on and not with Firefox. Please contact the add-on author to resolve this issue.

well with me it DID work fine in any previous version. And I noticed that it only happens with some file types, e.g. .EXE where the default dialog is rather small. Many other file types have a download confirmation windows of just the right size.

This bug appears to have been fixed by the add on author at http://www.downthemall.net/. Version 1.0.1 mentions 'Firefox 2.0.0.8 - 3.0pre' specifically and updating certainly cures this problem for me.

This was probably not invalid, see bug 442463, comment 14. I think it also applied to this extension. I think the extension used some workaround to this bug in Firefox.
