42569 - OS 9: All windows but the first do not draw content

I am using Mozilla M16 and this bug has been occuring in M14, M15, and Netscape
"Preview Release."  With Mac OS 9 and ATM Deluxe 4.52 on (font smoothing
activated) opening a new window, preferences, list or such draws a blank window.
 Only the browser window that opens on start-up shows real content.  The rest
appear white.  When ATM Deluxe is turned off, the new windows seem to work
properly.  I have not observed similar behavior in any other applications under
Mac OS 9 and ATM Deluxe 4.52.

This looks like a duplicate of bug 32327.

Does the problem go away if you move all files out of the Plugins folder? When I first ran 
accross similar symptoms, I diagnosed SmoothType (also an anti-aliasing solution) as 
the cause of the problem. Later it turned out to be a plug-in problem.

This makes me wonder if the plug-in code is more likely to fail with anti-aliasing 
extension, after all.
