I installed firefox 3 beta 4.  Also have Firefox 2 installed (latest release version as of 3/25/2008).  Although I know the back button was present at first, it later disappeared (w/i half hour of installing).  Furthermore, the same problem also occurs in my Firefox 2 installation.
