Test case here: http://www.bath.ac.uk/%7Epy8ieh/internet/projects/mozilla/entities.html Problem: The Strict and Transitional DTD drop entities (<, ©, and so on). See the test case. This does not occur in compatability mode. Tested in Mozilla and Viewer, Win32 build 2000061420. Nominating for nsbeta2 as this is a very important feature of HTML, it will for instance break many pages including a LOT (if not most) of my test pages.

This is a known issue. Look at 42388 , it is a collection bug for DTD bugs, and is marked depends on the real bugs.
