Maemo applications, mobile Nokia n810, for example, use a different menu layout than normal GTK. Supporting the Hildon application menu is pretty important for any Mozilla mobile work on that platform, from a widget standpoint.

Note: I couldn't find a way to launch a menu on fennec/N810, and the "long" click (equivalent of right click) did not open a local menu either.

Did I miss something?

The long click (simulate right-click) hasn't been added yet. This bug is only about adding support for the native application menu:
