Details

version 3.0a1pre (2008040203) on MAC OS X 10.5.2

Steps to Reproduce:
1) select a mail with an attachment
2 [review]) view the message in 3-pane, wait until the attachment is loaded
3) go to File|Attachments menu, menu is disabled

Expected behavior:
File|Attachments menu should show the names of the attachments and the action list.

Additional Notes:
 - Protocol IMAP
 - Context menu (that shows up when right-click on the attachment itself at the bottom) works fine.
 - When open the message in a standalone message window, menu works fine
 - This bug is reproducible, always.

I have also noticed that in some occasions it start working properly, but couldn't figure out the chain of events yet.
It would be great if somebody go ahead and try to reproduce this one on this machine, and document the steps. Obviously not everybody experience this bug with nightlies.

On a self-compiled trunk debug build version 3.0a1pre (2008040301) on a fresh
profile in Mac OS X Leopard 10.5, I can reproduce this.

And I agree that this bug is reproducible. However, there is an easy workaround by either opening the standalone mail window or by right-clicking the attachment itself.

Is this a regression? Mac only? (I don't seem to have it on linux.)
I can't seem to repro this anymore on a self-compiled debug trunk build on Mac anymore.

Emre do you still see this?
Since no one seems to be able to reproduce this bug, and the original commenter hasn't reported back in 3 years, I think we can close this.
