Bug 396770 landed a change that was supposed to fix the problem of always having to scroll a little to see the full UA string on Linux, but it looks like the patch wasn't completely correct and made the problem much worse instead. See screenshot for what I mean.

Well, it fixed the problem when using normal font size. When the font size is bigger, UA string is available just like before, but without scrollbar (you can scroll anyway). Trying to figure out why.
This will not block the final release of Firefox 3. Any patch will need unit tests in order to be approved.

One problem is with the dialog box itself. It is inelastic. I a user chooses very large fonts (say, size 15 or 20 instead of 8), the text fills the dialog box. We do have users who are visually impaired and need such things.
thunderbird also of course for me it's caused by vista "large scale font", 120 dpi

I agree with comment #5. IMHO, the box should be elastic and/or resizable if text is cut-off. A wider box could help too. My 2 cts.

Note I closed based on the original summary. If we want to make dialogs like this magnifiable/scrollable via FF I think we should open a new bug/enhancement request for that. (Maybe this is one?)
