RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 445403

I have a saved search called "All Mail". In my latest update to: Thunderbird 3.0a1pre ID:2008040203

that search is now called "All%20Mail".

I suspect that recent changes to folder handling aren't handling % escapes in the migration code.
I've seen this too. It's not just space, all non-ascii is destroyed.
It might not be a direct result from bug 418551, but I suspect that uncovered a regression somehow since it turned up earlier this week.

Creating a saved search named åäö for instance will cause problems at least going back some time, oldest build I tested was 2008-01-31

If you create the åäö saved search, it will create two msf files, one %C3%A5%C3%A4%C3%B6.msf and one åäö.msf.

Summary: In latest nightly %20 shows up in folder names → In latest nightlies %20 shows up in saved search/virtual folder names
Not only saved searches, but IMAP folders. (I think any type of folder either...)
My Gmail IMAP sync of first time after startup fail by this problem. After sync of folder list, it goes good.
what shown is:
 %5BGmail%5D
after sync of folder list:
 [Gmail]
The patch from bug 418551 got backed out, and looks like the underlying cause is getting fixed in bug 445403.
