suggested mail handler (mail.walla.co.il) in addition to en-US defaults (tracking bug 413630).
are there any additional suggestions for either mailto or webcal?
can you get me a contact at walla.co.il assuming you still want this provider

I can confirm I suggested them, and have their approval, but I'm not sure if they will implement it on time (I've sent the API documentation and still in negotiations with them).
I'll update on this issue as time goes by. What is our deadline?

we're aiming for updates 3.0.1, however i've also heard that some other service provider may land after then so in mean time +1 month it seems is reasonable

We currently only have webcal handling in the tree (30boxes). Would walla.co.il be an addition to yahoo mail or a replacement?

I don't know too much yahoo!mail users over here (except Tsahi, which is strange person by himself), and still walla.co.il have not implemented it.
I think we should really wait for Google before we can start considering about removing Yahoo mail handler.

I read that as a "we should add yahoo mail now, and figure out what to do with it later"? Then we should do that now. Mind attaching a patch and requesting review on that from me?

ahhmm
probably the biggest problem with yahoo mail is that their editor doesn't support RTL. still, there are many users of yahoo mail in israel, probably a few thousands out of ~4 million(?) internet users.

oh, and Yahoo! CEO who visited israel this week said they have about 4 million users from israel. at least some of them must be using yahoo mail.

Mic - It isn't, but we should. I'm attaching a patch for Yahoo. Next Sunday I'm going to meet walla.com developers in thier office and get them add the required support into their server-side application.
Are we going to forget from Gmail handler for Firefox 3.0 release?
By the way, I think that mail handlers should implement support for subjects (mailto:xyzzy@example.net?subject=mySubject) as HTML forms with mailto action relay on this.

adding yahoo.com mail handler
r=me, moving this into the 1.9 approval queue.
Please don't land this before you actually get approval1.9 on this patch.

Landed, marking this bug FIXED to have proper RC2 tracking. Please cvs update your working copy to pick this check-in up.
If we get a real hebrew service offering, please open a new bug, CC me and mic, to land that in 3.0.x.

We can forget from walla.co.il. They won't be ready before 3.0.
