428179 - When forwarding an email with embedded photos, photos are not forwarded not do they appear in my own sent file.

The summarized problem has been reported and discussed in Forum messages dating back at least a year.  Why can't you get rid of this bug?  Unable to forward a complete email which has photos embedded in it.  Recipient doesn't get the photos, just the text.  Also, my Sent folder also doesn't include the photos which means the software in my computer is stripping out the photos.  Problem does not exist using Outlook Express but I have deleted Outlook Express in favor of Thunderbird.  Maybe I should go back to OE.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Receive email with embedded photos (not as attachments)
2.Forward email
3.Receive email from people I forwarded the email to that the photos did not appear.  Only a blank square and the dreaded red x where the photo(s) were.
4.Check my Sent folder and find the same result.
Actual Results:

Expected Results:  
retained the photos embedded in the forwarded mail.

This problem has been identified as a bug in numerous Forum correspondence for over a year.  It is extremely frustrating.  A Forum suggestion is to use Reply instead of Forward and change the addresses.  This only works sometimes and is not a solution.  The solution is to fix the bug.  If OE can handle it, Mozilla certainly should be able to.
