Weave should sync Firefox themes
Should ensure that only themes compatible with the current machine are downloaded/enabled
Should check that the theme is compatible with the machines Firefox version before downloading
If the users last selected theme (on the last machine they used) is not the currently active theme then weave should offer to active and restart firefox to enable that theme.

This is similar to syncing extensions.
Targeting for 0.3.

These bugs need to be triaged, removing 0.3 milestone setting.

If themes are a subset of Add-ons, shouldn't this be marked as a duplicate of bug 534956 or at least blocking it?

Matthew: not necessarily. One might want to sync add-ons but not themes, or vice versa, and the UI for application might differ.

I agree, but I guess my issue was just semantics. It seems that "Extensions" are what is usually meant when people refer to add-ons, even though Firefox uses it as a more general term.

looks like this is fixed.
i came to ask the opposite: how can i make sure that my *selected* theme isn’t synced?
i can’t find the relevant services.sync.prefs.sync.* setting, there’s only one regarding lightweight themes, not full ones.
Guys this is extremely annoying, how to stop this?
Using firefox from early of existence and for 5+ years using also Firefox for Developers.
I got dark theme for developers and light theme for normal one.
I need this visual separation for better orienting in my desktops.
How to stop disable sync of themes?

Unfortunately there's no way to do that for "full" themes - to complicate things, full themes seem likely to go away in the future.

I believe these are light-weight themes, which you can disable by flipping the pref "services.sync.prefs.sync.lightweightThemes.selectedThemeID" to false.

This is fixed, but see bug 1367048, which calls for the ability to sync addons but not themes.
