429782 - UI dead-end when closing tabs

Closing tabs can lead to a loss of user control.

Steps to reproduce:
  Open a message in a new tab.
[The new tab appears as well as a psuedo-tab for the inbox]
  Close the inbox tab.
  Close the message tab.

We are now in limbo, with no folder contents displayed. The message pane now acts as a preview pane. You can regain control by right-clicking the inbox in the folder pane and selecting "open"

If wide view is selected, the situation is even worse, since the folder pane is hidden, I see no way to regain control.

I'm leaving this as 'unconfirmed' since I am having some hardware problems at the moment relative to monitor/display.

I confirm this behavior in all it's beauty
reproduce:always
( and also switched to calendar who had no pane to show content into (ha!) cause lightning is using the message area ...but that is not for now)

This behaviour persists in Shredder.
