Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b5) Gecko/2008032619 Firefox/3.0b5
It had to do an auto update, so I did. After the update, the normal bookmarks bar was gone, and replaced with the blank grey space and a home button all the way on the left side. If I do view-toolbars-bookmarks bar, the bar will go away, and come back looking the same.
A screenshot is at -- http://www.blarguments.com/pics/firefoxbar.png
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.quit firefox.
2.open firefox
3.same
Actual Results:
same.
Expected Results:
shown the bookmarks bar.
All my bookmarks are still in bookmarks-bookmarks toolbar, so I know they weren't mysteriously deleted. Just for some reason its not showing them in the bar.

IS this about an update from 2.0.0.13 to 2.0.0.14 or an update of 3b4 to 3b5 ?
to 3b5..... it may have been some other conflicting app or something...after reinstall leopard, no problems.

I experience the same thing (following the recent update to Firefox 10). The following errors appear in the console:
Error: Weave is not defined
Source File: chrome://browser/content/browser.js
Line: 3485
Error: gBrowser is not defined
Source File: chrome://browser/content/browser.js
Line: 3277
The comments above request that the bug be reopened if there are more details. I don't see a way for me to reopen the bug. Should I file a new bug report?
Sorry, I posted to the wrong bug report see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=499561#c6
