The "Remove Bookmark" button is sometimes blank in Shiretoko.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.

Component: Places → Bookmarks & History

I experience the same thing (following the recent update to Firefox 10). The "remove Bookmark" button is blank. The following errors appear in the console after clicking the star in the location bar:

Error: Weave is not defined
Source File: chrome://browser/content/browser.js
Line: 3485

Error: gBrowser is not defined
Source File: chrome://browser/content/browser.js
Line: 3277

The comments above request that the bug be reopened if there are more details. I don't see a way for me to reopen the bug. Should I file a new bug report?
(Like the original reporter, I'm on x86 Windows XP )

This sounds like being caused by an add-on, did you try safe mode already? http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0

I experienced the same issue using the add-on Evernote Web Clipper 5.0.0.214840 on Firefox 10.

STR:
1. Launch Firefox 10 with a clean profile
2. Install the Evernote Web Clipper add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/evernote-web-clipper/
3. Bookmark a page by clicking on the star from the URL bar.

Expected results:
The Bookmark Panel should not be affected by the add-on.

Actual results:
The upper side of the bookmark panel is blank as in the screenshot added in Comment 1.
DB, did you had the add-on Evernote Web Clipper installed on your Firefox profile?
If so, this bug should be moved on the Extensions Compatibility Component.
The button is no longer blank for me. I don't have Evernote Web Clipper, but I noticed that Firebug updated this morning. Possibly related (?)
It's still the same on Windows 7 (running Firefox Aurora)...

I experienced the same and found the addon that caused it: Avast Online Security. Can anyone confirm this?
