first of all: you are doing a great job !
in a few years, I plan to retire, and to join your community,
because in many ways OpenSource is something very special in
our world beyond or despite of capitalism.

I don't get the text in red "Referenced character data" displayed.
(see 'view source') 

for Camino Version 2008020612 (1.5.5) it doesn't work either.
however, Safari Version 3.0.4 (523.12.2) does it as expected.

look for 'tref01'

Steps to Reproduce:
1. http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/images/text/tref01.svg
2. compare the source code of the page with what you actually see
3. "Referenced character data" is not diplayed
