password forgot with any error

If there is any communication errors the password is forgotten.  need to set it so it can persist through errors instead of asking the user for their password constantly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Check Mail
2.Have Check Fail (server not available, server disconnects abruptly, etc.)

Actual Results:  
asked for a password

Expected Results:  
try same password again after a 2 min or so time out.
OS: Linux → All
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED
