Build Identifier: 20080213

Setup a filter for feed folders e.g. delete all messages whose age is > 2
Make sure the filter is enabled.
Run the filter on an existing folder to make sure it works (and it works)
Next day, you will be able to see messages in the folders that are older than 2 days. (of course manually running the filters on each folder works)

You cannot delete feed items from the browser rss feeds.  Why should thunderbird be any different here?  Or am I missing something?

No I mean Thunderbird menu-->tools-->messages filters...: a filter that should delete an rss message don't run automatically.

Maybe the right component isn't Core but Thunderbird?
