I just installed Firefox3 and there is no "Back" button. I can see on reviews that most people have a big green back button, but I have none :-(
When I click on "View > Toolbars > Customize", the back button is not available, so I guessed it was in fact hidden somewhere.
Before installing Firefox3, I used Firefox2. Years ago I had modified the toolbars in a way many people like (to have more browsing estate):
- Remove navigation and bookmarks toolbar,
- Put the menus and icons on the sides of the URL bar.
Indeed, I found the big green back button in Firefox3's navigation toolbar, which was hidden as I explained.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: The back button should be at the same place as configured, no reason to move it back to the navigation toolbar.
This is a widespread problem. Even though it is only a beta, many users already complain on blogs about this problem: http://www.google.com/search?q=firefox3+%22no+back+button%22 and none found the solution.
Thanks !
Nicolas Raoul.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Actual Results:
No back button
Expected Results:
The back button should be at the same place as configured, no reason to move it back to the navigation toolbar.

This screenshot shows what users in my case are facing, having to guess where the back button has gone.
