Wayne Mery, Is your message for me ? I don't understand :/
Guillaume, if a comment adds a couple of people to the CC list, this usually implies that the question is for them. I'm not using offline storage on a regular basis though and haven't run into this issue otherwise.

Not a common use case for me either, but have not seen any similar complaints in forums or newsgroups.
(In reply to comment #8) > Not a common use case for me either, but have not seen any similar complaints > in forums or newsgroups. Great to hear, Joe. Just to be a bit more complete, I DnD attachments to Desktop often and this WFM. I'm on Mac, Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1pre) Gecko/20090619 Lightning/1.0pre Shredder/3.0b3pre
I also have this problem for a long time. It happens especially with big attachements, it seems Thunderbird tries to move the file to desktop before it finished creating it ? I have Thunderbird version 2.0.0.22 (20090605) under Windows XP. This bug is really not RESOLVED !

Oups sorry, I made a mistake, THIS bug doesn't happen on my machine, it's another bug : same explanation but simply I get this message : "Cannot move <name of file>: It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again" Should I open a new bug for it ? Many people seem to have this bug : http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=598205&start=0
