When I try to dismiss an alarm from a remote CalDAV calendar, I get the following:
A pop up stating "There has been an error reading data for calendar: Kerio. It has been disabled until it is safe to use it." When I click details it says "Error number: 0x804a0304 Description: There was an error storing the item on the server.".
The following is logged in the Error Console:
Error: pcs.charAt is not a function
Source File: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/fairbanks/Application%20Data/Thunderbird/Profiles/73mexiaf.default/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/js/calDavCalendar.js
Line: 1517
The calendar is also never disabled as the message box indicates it should be.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add an event to a calendar with a reminder set to fire
2. Try to dismiss the alarm
Actual Results:
Error messages as stated above. The alarm is never dismissed and will keep firing until I either delete the event, or log into our webmail system and dismiss the alarm.
Calendar build 2008051418
Kerio Mailserver 6.5.1
I have a Wireshark dump of the exchange between the server and Thunderbird that I'll attach.

I am in contact with another person who has a similar problem using Kerio. -> Confirmed.

I'm unable to reproduce this with either DAViCal or Darwin, so I suspect that it is something specifically to do with the Kerio<-->Lighning interaction. I don't have access to a Kerio account and cannot test directly. The wiretrace in comment #1 shows a successful PUT, nice to see but not terribly useful for debugging this problem. Immediately after doing this PUT Lightning should be attempting to re-fetch the item using a query-uid REPORT, and I suspect this is where something is sliding off the rails. A packet capture of that query/response would likely be very useful.

Bruno, I'm in contact with somebody who can provide us a test account on a Kerio Mail Server. I'll mail you directly if I have more information.

There isn't any further traffic that I can capture after the error message popup. The only traffic that I get is when I try to hit "Dismiss" again (which leads to the error box again, etc) and has the exact same packet capture results.
Martin, I can provide you with a test account, e-mail me if you'd like to set something up.

The error message points to the source code that was added with Bug 413291: http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsblame.cgi?file=/mozilla/calendar/providers/caldav/calDavCalendar.js&rev=1.45.2.83&mark=1517#1510
Tony, could you retest the issue with a current Lightning nightly build?
You can also create the boolean advanced preferences "calendar.debug.log" and "calendar.debug.log.verbose" with value "true" to get additional information displayed in Tools -> Error Console.

I've attached error console output with the debug boolean pref set. There are three parts to the log: The initial output after starting Thunderbird, output after hitting Reload (the calendar never seems to load on its own at startup - I have to wait for it to auto-refresh itself or hit the button), and finally setting an alarm and trying to dismiss it.

Surprising that this has not been seen before. This patch fixes the can't-dismiss-alarms bug and also fixes a logging problem that showed up in the wiretraces; it does not address the pcs.charAt business. That latter is a startup problem which has nothing to do with alarm dismissal, though it does cause the need to reload mentioned in comment #8. It should be dealt with in another bug.
