Right clicking within a bookmarks list (main Menu, Bookmarks) does not give sort option if clicking in bookmark area and if clicking on sub-folder, doe,but results do not affect the bookmarks in the same list. Worked in FF 2 (sorted and closed the (sub-)list).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click Bookmarks on main menu
2.right click within list, but not on a folder
3.(Sort not a choice)
Actual Results:  
Only sorts a sub list if right clicking on a folder

Expected Results:  
To be able to sort bookmarks in the top level list

Same happens in Minefield betas

Located Top Level Sort Hot spot. It is achieved by right clicking on the "Bookmarks Toolbar" line.
Reducing Severity to Normal (only annoying <g>)

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
