User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0 I just installed addon Bulgarian Dictionary version 4.1 which is incompatible. It was possible to install it from AMO and I thought its compatible for version 3.0. In addons manager I saw under extensions that the addon is listed with small red icon and text "This addon will be installed when Firefox is restarted". On the next line it says "Not compatible with Firefox 3.0". How is possible one addon to be incompatible and installed at the same time? The addon is with max version 3.0a1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the addon from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=bulgarian+dictionary&cat=all 2. Check the addon in addons manager under extensions Actual Results: Incompatible addon is installed and after restart is in use! Expected Results: Never install incompatible addons, unless the user modify the max version.

It works for me. I tested it with albanian dictionary: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5485 Please try with the release candidate in safe mode or with a blank profile. If the problem persists in normal mode it could be an extension problem.

The issue here is what's shown in the Addons manager before you restart Firefox. This particular xpi has a maxversion of 3.0a1, but AMO currently says 2.0 - 3.0.*. The EM seems to be using the compat info from the xpi rather than what it just pulled from AMO. (Expecting DUPEage)
