This is really a product suggestion rather than a bug. In Thunderbird's preferences for fonts the size of fonts is given in pixels rather than points. At least in the USA (it may be different in metric countries) font size (vertical) is usually given in ponts (72 points per inch).
Recommend this change be made for the US version
