When I try dragging a bookmark onto the last folder inside another folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar, the folder won't be selected. The bookmark is placed below the folder, not inside.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
2. Inside that, make several folders (and bookmarks).
3. Drag-and-drop a tab/page/favicon/bookmark onto the last folder (on the bottom of the list).
Actual Results:  
The folder is not selected, and the bookmark is placed below the folder, not inside.

Expected Results:  
The bookmark should have been placed inside the folder.

I can confirm this with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008052611 Minefield/3.0pre. Can't find a dupe.

This happens if there are at least 5 items (bookmarks/folders) in a folder. But if there are less than 5 items, the drop-indicator-bar is missing (can't find a bug for that, maybe another bug should be filed).

I was not able to reproduce this. Every sub-folder selects and expands.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
