Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0
I use a truecrypt virtual hard drive so as to store my profile.
Whenever I try to launch FF without mounting my crypted drive, a messagebox pops up reading "Firefox is already
running, but is not responding. To open a new window you must first close the
existing Firefox process, or restart your system"
The error message is confusing since no firefox process is the running on the box.
An error message stating that the default profile can't be located would be better
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose a default profile lying on a truecrypt volume.
2. Use Firefox
3. Close the browser
4. Unmount the truecrypt volume
5. Try to launch firefox
Actual Results:
Popup that reads "Firefox is already
running, but is not responding. To open a new window you must first close the
existing Firefox process, or restart your system"
Expected Results:
Popup that reads "Cannot localize the default profile at %ExpectedPath%, please make sure it's accessible, or use the profile manager to create a new one"
