Firefox 3.0 RC2 downloaded and installed the 2.0.0.7 update (Not even the latest stable 2.0 build) and then refused to boot. Even in safe mode I just got the classic XP message "An error has occurred". I then had to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. It works now and when I check for updates, it says there are any.
It may have been a one. But the bug needs to be fixed.
Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
Steps to Reproduce:
1.I have no idea. Sorry
2.
3.
I'm using the default theme.

Not blocking until we can confirm what's happened, or if it's a common occurrence.

This could happen because of bug 353804. Has this ever happened again for you?
