In the system requirement page of the new mozilla.com site: https://www-firefox3.authstage.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html # btw, header of the page is broken and should be fixed... In the page you can see: * Linux kernel - 2.2.14 with the following libraries or packages minimums: o glibc 2.3.2 o gtk+2.0 o XFree86-3.3.6 o fontconfig (also known as xft) o libstdc++5 but as bug 422478 say, actual requirement for gtk+ is gtk+2.10, not gtk+2.0.
