When I sort by alphabetical order my bookmarks in the bookmarks manager, they are displayed as sorted but as soon as I leave the menu they get unsorted (Other Bookmarks menu Or Bookmarks Task Bar). The alphabetical order seems to be only graphical & not impacting the real bookmark database.

If Alphabetical order is selected in the bookmarks manager, all bookmarks have to be sorted, like it was in Firefox 2.

Dupe of bug 400447 : there are various issues with sorting. Clicking on the table header is currently indeed only graphical, while choosing 'Sort By Name' (in the right-click menu on the folder) does what you want.
