Inbox unread mail counter appears to by off-by-one, i.e., still shows 1 unread message after all mail read. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log into IMAP server 2. Read all unread mail 3. Observe unread mail counter Actual Results: Still shows 1 unread mail Expected Results: Should show no unread mail Work around has been to manually mark folder as all read

No, this bug can't be a dup of 439380, that's a regression in trunk.

David , if you rebuild the indexes of the folder where you have the issue - does the count become proper ?
I have the same problem. I have indexing disabled. I tried the "Repair Folder" button, but to no avail.
Reporter, do you still see this problem when using a current version of thunderbird? And if you do not, please close bug report by changing resolution to worksforme

I haven't encountered the problem in some time now. Can't resolve the report though.

I have this same problem periodically (1 unread when there are really 0). Some more detailed observations: 1. Using IMAP service from Rackspace. Webmail does not show problem. 2. Removing all .msf folders does not fix problem. Most interestingly: 3. Wrong count shows up only in View->Folders-Unified. All other View->Folders settings do NOT show the problem, including View->Folders->All and View->Folders->Unread.
