I have Sort by Order Received, Descending, Threaded. When I search by typing something in the box in the upper right, the order is reversed. The most recently received messages are at the bottom of the list instead of the top.

What version of thunderbird are you using ?
2.0.0.19 (20090105) on Ubuntu 8.10.

Search is top to bottom and it is platform independant
