Tried IE7 (PC) - works perfectly 2. Tried Safari (PC and Mac versions) - works perfectly 3. Tried Firefox 3 does NOT work (I have a friend who alleges that Firefox 2.x works!) Actual Results: 1. works 2. works 3. not Expected Results: Firefox 3 should have loaded (with expected dealy) the photos, which it does not I think something actually does not work right.

This bug is still a problem! The patch was only good for iWeb 2.03; most current version of iWeb is 2.04 and the patch won't work with it. And... I still can't load a website created in iweb... I get this error message: Authentication Required A username and password are being requested by http://www.hotwirecoffee.com. The site says: "idisk.mac.com" When I enter my idisk user name and password, the page goes blank and simply says "unauthorized." Wish -someone- would fix this, as I'm sure my client will eventually get contacted by other Firefox users who can't view her business website!!
The patch just changed some settings. Is Firefox the only browser you get the authentication message in? In fact, it looks like 2.0.4 included the updates itself and the patch is no longer available from the link I provided above. You should see apple support about the login issue and please feel free to come back to us if it turns out to be a problem in Firefox alone.
It only happens in Firefox, yes. Safari and IE open the page fine.
Just checked with IE myself and I get the authentication request there as well.
IE on a Mac? That hasn't been updated in a couple years now. We've tested (extensively, various users, locations, computers) IE on a PC, and it's working every time... including: - IE v7 for XP (service pack 2) - IE v8 beta for Vista Which version did you test? Thanks! Relaena
IE v7 on Vista. Are these all machines that had been to the site successfully before, or might have the login information for that domain stored? Let me get some others to test your site on IE and Safari, see if they get the login dialog as well.

Alright, I've got confirmation that the auth message comes up in IE7 for several other people, and yet another person gets the auth message on mac with both Safari and Opera. You really should get some mac support. If nothing else they'll be able to tell you what you need to tell us.
