hi...
suddenly today .. just not long ago it stopped playing music on my FireFox 3.0 at this site here:
http://faujsa.fau.edu/jsa/music_album.php?jsa_num=400680&queryWhere=jsa_num&queryValue=400680
any place the music is played there (or in above link, say, for example)
However when i try with IE .. or Opera.. - no problem - the music is playing no problem using any of those two other ones...
What gives?
Is the problem at the site then maybe? .. or with Firefox?
Let me know ....
All i did recently was upgraded the Adobe Reader to the newest version that just came out (but don't think that's the problem?)
Thanks

Sounds like a duplicate of bug 416841. The problem is however, that I can't get sound with older flash versions either. I tried for instance flash 8.0 r22 and flash 9.0 r124. It is not the music like I can hear with Internet Explorer in any case. But you said it worked for you some days ago? Weird.

There is some update since then.. - i send a message about this issue to their Webmaster.. and received from him the following reply, that i posted at the forum here as well..
Here it is:
-----------------------
Subject: webmaster said that they need now some referer info that Firefox doesn't provide, where other browsers do
this site plays songs in Flash... - http://faujsa.fau.edu/jsa/home.php
and it used to play for me with Firefox.. - but yesterday stopped..
yesturday.. when playing the song.. - it's only some noise instead :(
if i go there with IE or Opera - songs are playing no problem..
So seems it's ONLY Firefox that is doing that...
I wrote Webmaster of theirs.. and he answered me:
"Our website pages now need to know the page that is requesting the music. It
is up to the browser to provide that information. We need to know that our
music is being requested by a page on our site. If it is not, we will not
provide access to the music. Most browsers provide that information, but
Firefox does not. If you can make your Firefox provide referer information.
It will be allowed access to the music.
Sorry for the inconvenience."
-------
So basically .. - how to "make my Firefox to provde this referer info to them"?
I got no clue about this stuff...
Thanks
