User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; zh-CN; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; zh-CN; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 After I minimized the Firefox window, and right-click it on the status bar and chose "close", the dialog box of close confirmation appears on the top-left section of the screen instead of appearing in the centre. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open multiple pages with Firefox. 2. Minimize the Firefox window. 3. Right-click Firefox on the status bar, and press "Close". Actual Results: The dialog box of close confirmation appears on the top-left section of the screen. Expected Results: The dialog box of close confirmation should appear in the centre of the screen.

Former behaviour was to maximize the window and to show the dialog in the middle of the screen, which is better IMHO. Now it doesn't maximize anymore before showing the dialog.
All dialog boxs that pop up while Firefox minimized are now located there, including JavaScript pop-ups.
Blocking for regression, cc'ing Mike Wu and Mano (as I don't know how active Mike is these days)

Connor: another regression from bug 383760 like bug 439054 and bug 445845, so assigning this to you.

Gavin thinks that this should be fixed now that bug 456447 is fixed. Can someone confirm that?
Johnathan: The dialog is still placed on the upper left corner, tested under Windows XP with both 3.0.6 and 3.2 nightly build.
Thanks Ryan - the fix wouldn't have shown up in 3.0.6 but it should have shown up in a 3.2a1pre nightly, assuming it's more recent than January 22. Leaving this open for the time being, then.
It seems quirky since 3.0.6 works fine under Ubuntu 8.10.
Connor convinced me that this doesn't block, it's just annoying/embarasing. Would take a fix.

Given comment 3 (which I can reproduce) this is almost certainly not caused by Bug 383760 as a root cause, and is probably not even a Firefox bug, though the changes may have exposed the core bug. javascript:window.setTimeout(alert, 1000, "foo");void 0 then minimize would help get a better range...
