Using a keyword to go to a page directly by entering an argument with spaces using “%s” yields bad autocomplete.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1a1pre) Gecko/2008072102 Minefield/3.1a1pre Steps to reproduce (the bug is at #3): 1. Start with no history for http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/* 2. Create a bookmark: URL: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/%s Keyword: d 3. type “d Main page” See “http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Main+page” in the first entry of the dropdown. Such a URL won’t work, so that dropdown entry is not so useful. 4. Press Enter, and it works* (the space is a space). The problem may be related to bug 358990 and/or bug 359809, but there was no keywords autocomplete at the time. ───────────────────────────────────────────── * Although unrelated to this bug, it works this way: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Main%20page starts loading, then redirects to http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Main_page Now you have both of them in your autocomplete, together with one with “+” if you try step 3 again. ───────────────────────────────────────────── Bonus: At step 3, type and see: “d” http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/d http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/%s “d M” http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/M http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/%s “d Ma” http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Ma ─────────────────────────────────────────────

OK, that “Bonus” is logical and not a bug, though is not very useful.
Keyword searches are used in the context of query parameters not direct url insertion. If you typed "d main page" and if it did what you expected, it wouldn't work because it's expecting Main page to have M capitalized. Even so, how would it figure out that the space should be turned into a _ and not a . or maybe a - or something else? I would suggest using something like this for now: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Special:Search?search=%s
Not a regression, not a blocker, and I think comment #2 implies WONTFIX though I'll let Connor weigh in on that.

Is this a duplicate of bug 252209?
Per policy at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Bug_Triage/Projects/Bug_Handling/Bug_Husbandry#Inactive_Bugs. If this bug is not an enhancement request or a bug not present in a supported release of Firefox, then it may be reopened.
