User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1a2pre) Gecko/2008073102 Minefield/3.1a2pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1a2pre) Gecko/2008073102 Minefield/3.1a2pre When I play some example movies from wikimedia commons in ogg/theora format I found that the master volume is set to 100% on play. This only happens on the first time I play a video from this site. If I push pause or stop, and start the same movie again it does not set the audio to 100%. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Video 2. Choose a category of interest. Start a movie in mini-format or in full format 3. Press the play button. Actual Results: Master volume was set to 100% on first play. Expected Results: Volume should not be touched Using the 3.1a2pre version on Ubuntu 8.04
The terminal shows a number of messages like: ALSA lib pcm.c:7156:(snd_pcm_set_params) Channels count (0) not available for PLAYBACK: Invalid argument Yes, I do use the ALSA mixer on Intel HDA audio
