Thunderbird asked me about setting up a new account -- the account I have been using for a year is gone. I am not very computer savvy, so I would greatly appreciate some help in very "easy" terminology? (I am probably one of the dumbest people about figuring out my computer. I know there are dumber people, but I just haven't met many of them.) If you are able to help ... please use small words. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click on Thunderbird/try to open thunderbird 2. asks to create account 3.

There have been reports of apparently spontaneous loss of the profile. If this was *not* observed as the consequence of a crash or incorrect shutdown of your computer, this is probably a duplicate of bug 392956. Per comment #1, use http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=39 to get directly to the MZ Thunderbird Support forum if you need further help.
Emily, could you please get back to this report within two weeks whether or not this has been resolved? Otherwise, I'd assume that it is the same issue.

I need to have my old account back because of all of the saved mail. I hoped up a new account now.
