although printer preview does display the correct text content, but it does not display category colors nor does it display the text font as it appears in the programm itself. I am using an epson stylus photo RX425 inkjet.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.select monthly calendar 
2.select page setup
3.select print
Actual Results:  
see under details

Expected Results:  
same as displayed on monitor with color coded categories and with text font used displayed calendar. 

the color coding for categories is for me a vital necessity for a calendar programm. It is the first time that I am using sunbird and I would like to continue with it. But if this bug can not be fixed I will have to resort to some other programm. Too bad.

You need to enable 'Print Background (colors & images)' in menu 'File -> Page Setup -> Format & Options' to get the color in the final output. If it's disabled the print system removes all styling in the final output.
