Build Identifier: Thunderbird2.0.0.14 installed some 2weeks ago
the upgrade stopped about one third of the way and a particular dll could not be found. I have attempted to reinstall 2.0.0.14 and that stopped with the message "Could not find: program files\mozilla thunderbird\moz mapi32.dll"
I tried to start again but was not able to delete the original folder

Try disabling your logitech camera and then restarting. See bug 340535 for more information.

removal of Logitech Camera software solved the problem and the upgrade has been installed
