STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

- create an event and set a reminder
- invite someone via iTip/iMip
- attendee accept the invitation
- check the event in the calendar view

RESULT:
=======

- the event in the attendees calendar shows the alarm, too

EXPECTED RESULT:

- no reminder

See Bug 431149. If the invitation event specifies an reminder it's taken over just like title, location, description, etc. I think that's how other calendar applications behave too.

Yes, but I don't think that's sensible, because alarms are a "user-local" setting.

I don't think the organizer should be able to preselect the alarm settings of attendees, and think it's more important that users get their preferred default alarm set (bug 450565, bug 445488). Setting ui-review though to have a further opinion.

Even if we send out the VALARM component, we must not send out X-MOZ- properties, especially X-MOZ-LASTACK, because otherwise attendees may not even get the alarm fired.
