Using today's verification build on Win98, I am unable to compose a new message,
nor reply to any message (at least any IMAP message, don't have POP).  Using the
menu, toolbar or command keys has no apparent effect, no message compose window
appears. I tried this with the HTML compose option on, then off, with no difference.

I have seen this problem on my Mac build last Friday. You have to try several 
time and be patient before you can get a mail compose window. The command seems 
to be correclty executed as we create a new WebShell every time we request a new 
window but then nothing append, the window wont load, the onload JS script is 
never executed. I wonder if it's what you are seeing? if yes, I don't think so 
it's a MsgCompose bug but rather an appshell problem.

I was just using the opt verification build without a console, so I don't see
anything except the window never showing up.  I tried it several times, but gave
up before ever seeing the window.  Today I can get the compose window on NewMsg
and Reply, but it crashes consistently on Forward, which may not be related.

hmm... Peter, which skin as you using?  I haven't had other reports of this 
problem.  Mark nsbeta2 so PDT is aware in case we can reproduce this across the 
board (ie. not configuration specific)

Yeah, that's why I filed it.  I'm using the default skin, never touched that
feature.  I can't reproduce this using today's opt verification bits on Win98,
although I haven't changed my config at all.

Can we go ahead and mark this as worksforme as the compose window seems to be
working in todays builds on windows.
