Although in the mailing list dialogs we have disabled autocomplete for read-only lists, it is still possible to type and enter text in the listbox widget. Though none of this gets saved.

Can't we just disable all the fields so they appear as grayed out? This is more visible to the user as just preventing the input in this fields and leaving the white background.

The problem here is that it is more to do with the autocomplete widget being a pain to set all elements to read only.
