Hi,
Several times backing up my TB, I have noticed that my draft folder had a huge size, up to 2G°. This can be solved by compacting the draft folder, yet such a size can be problematic for novice users. The weird thing is that, of course, I never send 2G° attachements and the folder is always empty.

Reproducible: Sometimes

The point is simply that it shouldn't get that big : )

I think this should be invalid, because compacting drafts folder the "issue" disappair.

Probably this happens because:

the drafts folder isn't never compacted.

We fixed a bug where sometimes folders would get set to an incorrectly huge size. I don't know the number off the top of my head.

Do you enable auto-save with no dialog after draft save completion?
If yes, draft mail is saved and deleted(old version is marked as deleted) repeatedly and silently while you are composing mail, and is finaly deleted(marked as deleted) after final send.
You need to execute "Compact" of Drafts folder to remove mail data which is marked as deleted from file named Drafts.

Are you talking about bug 387502? If so, that bug is irrelevant to this bug. If bug 387502, file size should be 4GB-1 on MS Win and "Compact" can do nothing ordinary, but bug opener says around 2GB and "Compact" works.
