User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.14 (OS X 10.5.5 Intel) When composing (forwarding) an e-mail in HTML format, there should be a "copy link location" option in the context menu for links whose text is not the URL. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Thunderbird 2. Go to Tools > Account Settings > Compositin & Addressing and make sure it is set to compose in HTML format 3. Create a text link, or forward a message containing a text link 4. Right-click (or otherwise open the context menu) on the link Actual Results: Actual results: There is no "Copy link location" option in the menu, as one might expect there to be. I see now that it is possible to highlight the link and click on "Format > Link Properties", but to be honest I have NEVER created a text link in TB (and thus never realized that option was there) until going now to do a test case on non-forwarded messages.
Similar to Bug 695142 - Implement ways of opening links (URLs) from message composition in Browser (Ctrl+Click, "Open Link in Browser" context menu)
Blocks: 695142
This is a valid and useful RFE. Copying the URL of a link via context menu is a common scenario, and imo there's no reason why this shouldn't work for links in composition.
