After updating Firefox 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 Firefox told me that the german language pack 3.0.1 could not be updated - because there is no update.

1.wrong - there is a update

2.why was 3.0.1 language pack installed? Is there no automatic language pack update, when Firefox was updated?

Firefox 3.x language pack updating is broken!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Installing FF (en-US)
2.Installing a language pack
3.Updating FF

You usually download a german Firefox and you don't convert an english one with adding a german xpi.

I'm no usual

Per computer several logins - at least 3 languages provided - default language en_US

The sort of step that's actually needed in "steps to reproduce" is more like

2. Install the German language pack from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0.1/mac/xpi/de.xpi

(which would make this a duplicate of bug 451824)
